Goblin

Terms of Use

Effective October 1, 2026

The short version: Goblin is free to use. It's provided as is. Check what you remove before you remove it.

These terms are between you and Higher Bar, LLC ("Higher Bar Apps", "we", "us") and cover the Goblin app for macOS and macgoblin.com. By downloading or using Goblin you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Goblin.

Using Goblin

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Goblin on Macs you own or control. Please don't resell it, redistribute modified copies, or use it to break the law or anyone else's terms.

Removing files is your call

Goblin can move files, apps and cloud items to the Trash, and, if you choose, delete some items permanently or run administrator tasks. It always shows you what it's about to remove and asks you to confirm. You're responsible for what you choose to remove, so keep backups of anything important. Items moved to your Mac's Trash or a cloud service's trash can usually be restored until that trash is emptied. Permanently deleted items can't.

Cloud storage services

If you connect Google Drive, Dropbox, Box or Microsoft OneDrive, your use of that service is also governed by its own terms. Goblin works with those services on your behalf only to show your storage and to move items you choose to their trash. We're not responsible for those services, their availability or their changes. See our Privacy Policy for how cloud data is handled.

Updates

Goblin checks for new versions and can install them for you. Features may change, and we may stop offering Goblin at any time.

No warranty

Goblin is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise Goblin will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that its readings or estimates will be exact.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Higher Bar, LLC isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits or files, arising from your use of Goblin, even if we've been told they're possible. Our total liability for any claim about Goblin is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Goblin (if any) or US $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Trademarks

Goblin and its mechanic are ours. Google Drive, Dropbox, Box, Microsoft OneDrive and macOS are trademarks of their owners, who don't sponsor or endorse Goblin.

Changes

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and continuing to use Goblin means you accept the new terms.
